Most of what we post here is guides — rebates, turf, water rules. This one's different. Joe wanted to put a face to the name, so he grabbed a phone and recorded a quick introduction in front of a backyard the crew had just finished. Here it is.

Who's Behind the Name
That's Joe — Jose Martinez — co-owner of the Coachella branch of Martinez Bros Landscape. If the last name sounds familiar, it's because it's been attached to yards across this valley since 1989, when Joe's father, Filiberto Martinez, started the business from nothing. Filiberto taught the trade to his brothers, his cousins, his in-laws, and eventually to his own sons — building a network of family landscaping businesses that's still working across the Coachella Valley today.
Joe grew up on job sites, not in a classroom about them. He took over the Coachella side of the business carrying the same standards his father built the name on, while his brother Jaime runs the Martinez Bros branch up in Spokane, WA. Read the full story on our About Us page.
The Yard Behind Him
The backyard in the video isn't a stock photo or a rendering — it's a real Coachella Valley project the crew had just wrapped when this was filmed. It's a good snapshot of what "full landscape design" actually looks like put together on one property:
- A rectangular pool and raised spa set into a paver deck
- Artificial turf panels laid in a clean geometric pattern against the hardscape
